Application procedure: No entrance exam, just an online application followed by the submission of the original documents. Intake for winter or summer semester possible. To apply for undergraduate programmes, you must have completed secondary education. It is requested for each applicant to studied in the secondary school biology and chemistry (compulsory)- for at least two semesters, and acquired a passing grade. Preferably is to provide good grades in physics and mathematics as well.

Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) is a public university located in the city of Riga, Latvia. RSU is a state-funded university which offers various study programmes and ensures the realisation of scientific projects, providing training of experts in health care and social sciences who work in Latvia and across the world. Rīga Stradiņš University is the only university in Latvia which has traditionally been integrated into the healthcare system of the country, and therefore ensures a successful run of the university, which is a precondition for an effective existence of the health care system in Latvia.

Riga is the capital and the largest city of Latvia. With 639,630 inhabitants, Riga is the largest city in the Baltic states, home to one third of Latvia's population and one tenth of the Baltic states' population. Riga was founded in 1201 and is a former Hanseatic League member. Riga's historical centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, noted for its Art Nouveau architecture and 19th century wooden architecture. Riga was the European Capital of Culture during 2014, along with Umeå in Sweden. In 2016, Riga received 2.3 million visitors. It is served by Riga International Airport, the largest and busiest airport in the Baltic states. Riga is a member of Eurocities, the Union of the Baltic Cities and Union of Capitals of the European Union. Riga is one of the key economic and financial centres of the Baltic States. Roughly half of all the jobs in Latvia are in Riga and the city generates more than 50% of Latvia's GDP as well as around half of Latvia's exports.
